Walking into Newness

It's a new month, a new day and we have new mercies.

But, there's something else that's stirring; there's something else buzzing in the atmosphere. Can you feel it? I sense a shifting, a birthing, a transitioning...there's a newness in the air and I am resting in it. For somebody you are about to walk into a new season, for another there's a change in direction but the season is still the same and for others the change is going to meet you where you lay. For the latter the wilderness has felt like home and you've been expecting something dramatic but the shift that's coming is more mental than physical. In fact for those in this category the change might not be noticeable from the outside at all but you'll know. Instead of a change in your situation there might be a change in your perception of the situation.

For those in the middle, there's going to be some confusion as you attempt to configure yourself to the subtle changes that requires attention to detail to discern. Here the shift is different to what was expected and it might be so minute that you may not notice it immediately. but with closer inspection you'll begin to see the traces of newness. You know we can get caught up in the big sometimes, so much so, that we miss the movement in the small but here the change is evident not just to you alone but to others also although this might stop at those in close proximity to you only. Nonetheless it is visible! Instead of the wall falling down you might figure out a way around the wall or over it...the way you were expecting help to come might not be it but you'll soon notice that help did come although in a different way.

For those in the first group...the moment is finally here. There might be some guilt as you're finally leaving a season that some close to you are still in but I encourage you to push through. Those here has waited a long time, suffered silently, spent nights at the feet of the Father, endured, persevered and did not lose hope. That does not mean the newness is exactly what you thought it would be. No! Often times it is not but still there's gratitude. God is doing something and He waited on His timing so it is going to be mind blowing. Persons in the other two categories will get here at a later point but for now this is your moment. Everything you've given up, every hurt, every tear, every disappoint, every set back feels worth it for this moment. Here the change is obvious - there's no guessing about what is happening - everything is clear and not just to you but to others around you as well and not just those in close proximity to you but strangers too. Instead of subtle shifts or movement, this is going to feel like a leap, as if things are moving at top speed - here the wall falls and the victory is loud.

Regardless of which category you are in just know that there's a way to walk these seasons out:

• Always with Poise and Patience!

• Always with Faith and Focus!

• Always with Diligence and Decency!

• Always with Humility and Honor!

• Always with Worship and Warring!

• Always with a Song and Smile!
