Grace and Gratitude

Y'all...I am sooooo grateful to God! Like, extremely grateful...words really aren't sufficient in this moment and I cannot explain what God is doing in this season of my life but I call it RESTORATION. God has taken my shame away, God has turned my mourning into dancing, God has lifted my chains in the spiritual and ALL things that were previously withheld are being released in the natural (the physical). THANK YOU DADDY YA! Okay...let me get on with it. First blog post for the year and I am going to do more blogging this year but bear with me. Nonetheless, I am here to tell you about my January...I am in my acceleration season and somethings I declared at the end of 2024 and placed on my lists of goals have already started to take shape and my excitement is through the roof.

So, my focus this year is business. I have been in business for the last 5 years and I have spent the last year doing some extreme business development. I am about implementing what I learned and still am learning. There's a grace in this season for businesses and I want to be appropriately positioned for it. But, first I had to be obedient and give God the first month of the year like I've been asked to do and have been doing for the last 3 years or so. Part of that is an annual conference that I host and facilitate in conjunction with a community that I founded a little over 3 years ago - the While We Wait Community. This 3-night conference was TRANSFORMATIONAL AND TESTIMONIAL. It centered around the title of this blog post: Grace and Gratitude and the process of preparing for this event gave me a deeper understanding of both terms.

What's interesting is that a level of awareness is required for a full appreciation of these terms. What do I mean? I'm glad you asked...do we understand what grace is? That it is something we don't deserve, can't fully return and won't ever earn. Grace - the tangible expression of God, sorry I meant love! Grace is the essence of who God is and the way He feels about and towards us. It is his love, him, his goodness, his heart all wrapped up and gifted for GOD IS LOVE...and how should we respond when gifted? ... With gratitude! Yet, some of us act as if we are owed this; we take God's grace for granted as if we worked for it. We can't talk about Grace without mentioning the Almighty Ya. His grace is what saves us and then sustains us. His grace is what covers us and also carries us through valley seasons. His grace cleans slates and casts sins into seas of forgetfulness. His grace creates waves and waters in desert places. His grace protects and provides. His grace restores, redeems, revives...His grace requires a response equivalent to SACRIFICE...His grace calls for us to die - to self, ego, pride...His grace deserves GRATITUDE.

There's so much I can share about the Grace of God but I'm not sure we'd have the time. What I do know is that it is necessary to talk about the Grace and the Goodness of God. It is pertinent to testify of His exceedingly great mercies and favour towards us. For it is by hearing that faith cometh (Romans 10:17), so then why refrain ye from sharing the good tidings of our Saviour? Well, I bared my soul at conference as instructed and the impact of those who heard I can only hope isn't transient. I pray that the message resonates and revitalizes something that they thought died on the inside. I pray that it is a continuous memory every time they look at me...that they no longer see me but the face of Grace, the face of Ya Almighty. That my testimony serves as a constant reminder of the very present and ever living and saving Grace of the one who created us, loves us, chose us and chooses us time and time again. The one who we often reject, neglect and leave over and over again as He displays the essence of unconditional and unrequited love. I pray it results in surrender and ultimately submission to our Saviour.
