Hosanna

Have you ever listened to a song at the wrong time?

When I tell you the emotions catches you off guard! So...let me go back a bit to make sense of this for you. I work best with low music in the background so I pop on a nice smooth worship playlist to accompany me as I try to get some work done. Things are going nice and it is a complete vybe - I mean I am holding it together pretty well while still basking in the beauty of God and His unwavering love for us...well me.

Truth is I was still on a high from an amazing devotional I indulged in pre-work. We were in the third and final chapter of Zephaniah - a book I had not read but that was ministering to me so well. This last chapter spoke of God's restoration and ultimate redemption of His people through the remnant...nevermind I digressed. The devotion reminded me of how love really is free and these songs just kept hitting the same key.

Then comes Hosanna by CalledOut Music and it completely floors me. The first few plays I am caught up in the musicality of it all and the way the melody takes me away - like legit has me floating spiritually almost as if I was being summons to the altar - ever so casually yet urgently and absolutely beautifully. Then the lyrics begin to sink me...deep. I am in the arms of my beloved now and my heart is bursting and my eyes are leaking...not the sleek, unrecognizable kind of leak but the one that is neverending, the one where the more you wipe it the more it flows. In fact, I am typing this utterly consumed.

Furthermore, I have a report that's due, my battery is in the red but this is taking precedence. You'll God loves us...He really loves us. Hey you, yes you - Jesus loves you! FREELY, without conditions or penalty. His love came first and it'll be the one that lasts. Please choose Him today. That's all I feel led to say. Thank you for reading - take care now...let me go try to gather myself because I am currently wrecked - beautifully wrecked and this - this is one thing I wish for you and know I love you too.
